Which version are you using?
Latest is: 1.2.6-r1713
I use the latest version.
In normal mode the clock sometimes stops, or the game crashes after few minutes of playing, but I confirm: it did not happen allways, only rarely (not in the last two games I played). -O2 is not affected btw.
